  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 slices of cheese (American, cheddar, or your choice)
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, onion, and other toppings of choice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.
  4. Place the patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not overlap.
  5. Cook the patties for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they reach your desired doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature is at least 160°F (71°C).
  6. In the last 1-2 minutes of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty to melt.
  7. While the burgers are cooking, you can toast the hamburger buns in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes if desired.
  8. Once done, assemble the burgers with your favorite toppings and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Feel free to customize your burger with different spices or toppings.
