- 4 pieces Catfish fillets
- 1 cup Cornmeal
- 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1 large Egg
- 1/2 cup Milk
- as needed Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a shallow dish, mix together cornmeal, flour, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
- Dip each catfish fillet first into the egg mixture, then dredge in the cornmeal mixture, ensuring an even coating.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Place the coated catfish fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they do not touch.
- Spray the tops of the fillets lightly with cooking spray.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fillets are golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the air fryer and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
