Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Catfish fillets
  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • as needed Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a shallow dish, mix together cornmeal, flour, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
  4. Dip each catfish fillet first into the egg mixture, then dredge in the cornmeal mixture, ensuring an even coating.
  5. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  6. Place the coated catfish fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they do not touch.
  7. Spray the tops of the fillets lightly with cooking spray.
  8. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fillets are golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Remove from the air fryer and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
