- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with milk. Mix until just combined.
- Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for 5 minutes.
- Grease a 7-inch round cake pan that fits in your air fryer. Pour the cake batter into the prepared pan.
- Place the cake pan in the air fryer basket and cook at 320°F (160°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once done, carefully remove the cake from the air fryer and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- You can add chocolate chips or nuts to the batter for extra flavor.
- Adjust the cooking time based on your air fryer model; some may cook faster than others.
- Frost with your favorite icing or enjoy plain with a dusting of powdered sugar.
