Ingredients

  • 4 medium russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional toppings: butter, sour cream, cheese, chives

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and scrub the potatoes under cold water to remove any dirt.
  3. Pat the potatoes dry with a paper towel.
  4. Prick each potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape.
  5. Rub each potato with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  6. Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching.
  7. Cook for 35-40 minutes, turning halfway through, until the skin is crispy and a fork easily pierces the flesh.
  8. Remove the potatoes from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes.
  9. Cut a slit in the top of each potato, fluff the insides with a fork, and add your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • Cooking time may vary based on the size of the potatoes.
  • For extra crispy skin, increase the cooking time by a few minutes.
