Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
  3. In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  4. Add marinara sauce to the beef and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  6. Spread a layer of meat sauce in a baking dish.
  7. Layer 3 noodles, half the ricotta mixture, and a third of the mozzarella.
  8. Add another layer of meat sauce, 3 more noodles, the remaining ricotta, and another third of the mozzarella.
  9. Top with remaining noodles, meat sauce, and Parmesan cheese.
  10. Bake for 30 minutes. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
