- 9 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
- In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add marinara sauce to the beef and simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Spread a layer of meat sauce in a baking dish.
- Layer 3 noodles, half the ricotta mixture, and a third of the mozzarella.
- Add another layer of meat sauce, 3 more noodles, the remaining ricotta, and another third of the mozzarella.
- Top with remaining noodles, meat sauce, and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 30 minutes. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms.
- Use oven-ready noodles to save time.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
