- 6 cups fresh peaches, sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of sugar and let sit for about 10 minutes to release their juices.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, salt, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Spoon the peach mixture over the batter, making sure to include the juices.
- Sprinkle ground cinnamon over the top if desired.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the cobbler is golden brown and set in the center.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with vanilla ice cream!
