Description

This peach cobbler recipe is the perfect dessert for summer gatherings. With juicy peaches and a buttery, flaky crust, it’s irresistible and easy to make!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups fresh peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of sugar and let sit for about 10 minutes to release their juices.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, salt, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Spoon the peach mixture over the batter, making sure to include the juices.
  6. Sprinkle ground cinnamon over the top if desired.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the cobbler is golden brown and set in the center.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with vanilla ice cream!

Notes

  • For a deeper flavor, try adding a splash of almond extract to the batter.
  • If using frozen peaches, make sure to thaw and drain them before use.
  • This cobbler is best served warm and can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
